Seneca, Christianity, And The Caesars

Seneca, Christianity, & The Caesars
(Roman Piso, 10-04-2015, updated 05-22-2017)

A Chronology for events leading to the creation of Christianity with Historical Background:

The Long War: Beginning with the Jewish change-over from the Seleucid leadership to the Hasmonean leadership (circa 135 BCE).

The War Between The Hasmonean Leadership & The Pharisees (to circa 50 BCE, Julius Caesar).

The Sadducees, Herodians & The Caesars (circa 30 BCE-6 BCE).

The Roman Committee To Create A New Religion (Under Tiberius, circa 14-37 CE).

The Dissolution Of The Official Committee To Create A New Religion (under Claudius (?) or Nero, circa 50 CE).

The Strained Relationship Between The Pisos & The Julian Caesars (pre-30 BCE-68 CE). The Julians had the same common (royal) ancestry with the Pisos, and had intermarried with them early on; in fact, the Pisos, once their origins are examined thoroughly, appear to have been another branch of the Caesars; evidence of that is that they also carried and used the name ‘Caesoninus’, which is to say, “The Little Caesars”. Therefore, once known, it is then understood why they thought that they were entitled to share in the Roman Empire with the Julian Caesars and even be emperors also.

Julius Caesar tried to reunite the two families with his marriage to Calpurnia, but it did not work as intended. And then Gnaeus Calpurnius Piso appears to have poisoned Germanicus Caesar in 19 CE. And during the time between then and the time of Nero as Emperor, there were many Pisos killed by the Julians and attempts by the Pisos (mostly the Frugi Piso side of the family) to kill several of the Julians. In addition to those, there was Caligula who “stole” Gaius Piso’s wife, only to return her later.

When the war between the Jewish sects continued, an idea was put forth in which the Romans would play an important part. Various scholars of religion and philosophy were contacted and asked to participate in the creation of a new religion. The Herodian leadership of the time, who were also the hierarchy of the Sadducean sect, together with the Emperor Tiberius set up a committee situated in the city of Tiberias. Most of the main participants were scholarly Romans, and included Lucius Calpurnius Piso and Seneca The Rhetorician (who was also Nero’s instructor, and whom Nero had put to death).

The committee to create a new religion was officially disbanded sometime after the emperor Tiberius died. After which, only two of the participants appear to have continued working on that new religion once back at Rome; Seneca and Lucius Piso. Someone from the Piso family approached Nero to ask him to allow them to refine and implement the new Roman religion that they had been working on. Since it was Gaius Calpurnius Piso (Arrius Piso’s father) who was put to death by Nero, it appears that he may have been the one to approach Nero; he may have done so along with his son (Arrius) and others. But since Arrius Piso was young, and for other reasons, he was spared.

But because Nero would not allow this and many royal Romans desired it, they decided that they must get rid of Nero. Which is why Nero began to seek out those who were trying to assassinate him. Since Seneca and Lucius Piso were the main creators of the prototype version of Christianity, they were protected by those of the Axis as much as could be. That is probably why they had Gaius Piso approach Nero, instead of Lucius Piso. And why, at that time, Seneca had hid in the background.

However, Nero knew that only certain individuals were a part of the committee to create that new religion, and he also knew that Seneca was a member of that committee. Seneca was writing his philosophic (Stoic) material, which served as a basis for the ideological concepts that were to be used in the creation of Christianity. A comparison of the two will reveal the connection. Nero, suspected Seneca and had him put to death. But Lucius Piso, had not written any published material that would connect him, which is probably why he was not put to death as well.

Nero & The Allies VS The Pisos & The Axis (circa 54 CE-68 CE).

The Axis As The Victors Of The Battle (circa 68-74 CE).

From Vespasian To Antoninus Pius (circa 70 CE-160 CE).

The Components & Sources Used To Create The NT Jesus & Christianity:

Ideological components; source, Seneca (see the work of Bruno Bauer). The name ‘Jesus’, from the son of Gamaliel I – both of whom were killed circa 63 CE, probably by Arrius Piso. The name/title ‘Christ’, as inherited name/title of Arrius Piso, from his Mithridates & ‘Chrestas’ ancestors (Arrius Piso & Nero shared the same common ancestry with Mithridates ‘Chrestas’). The ‘Savior’ name/title from Arrius Piso’s ancestors, and his mention of being called ‘Savior’ while writing as Flavius Josephus.

Also, components were “borrowed” from earlier religions, such as the “virgin birth” and his father as (a) God. The other names, nicknames and titles given the New Testament Jesus; such as ‘the Lamb’ (Arnious). The ‘Only Begotten’, as a well-known nickname given to a favored son and not necessarily literally meant. The ‘Door’, the ‘Way’, the ‘Light’, and so on. He (Arrius Piso aka Jesus) was seen secretly by his own family as Zeus/Jupiter, and this is why Judea once captured, was renamed ‘Jupiter Capitolina’ or the Capitol of Jupiter, in his honor.

The Motives Involved In The Creation Of Christianity.

Knowing the background between the Pisos, the Julians, and the Herodians helps a great deal. But there are many other things which should be known as well. For instance, just who the “Jews” were at any given time and place in written history. This is because that knowledge is essential in understanding just what was really going on and way. It means that we need to know just who the leadership was within each of the Jewish sects. Too much of this essential information has been either dismissed or ignored.

The Pharisees & Scribes were the good guys or Allies. The Herodians, their royal relatives were the Axis. And that is why to know what was really going on and why, this information must be known – or the researcher will be at a complete loss. The Emperor Vespasian was a descendant of King Herod, and therefore, a cousin of the Herodian leadership of the time, and the Herodians had succeeded the Hasmoneans as the leadership or hierarchy of the Sadducean sect of the Jews. See my work giving the descent of Vespasian from King Herod.

The Herodians, therefore, were given advance notice to leave Judea and move to Rome before the attack upon Judea by Vespasian and his son Titus. The more that you know about this, the more that it makes better sense and the more questions are answered.

As stated above, the Pharisees and Scribes were the good guys. This is because they were trying to bring a much needed change to the world. They were fighting the long war with the Sadducean leadership (the bad guys), for the following reasons (which can be deciphered from the Talmud which teaches practical ethics and the value of thinking and reasoning over that of mere religious belief); basic human rights for the common people, and end to slavery within the Roman Empire, and a new governmental system based upon Democracy, so that the common people would finally have a say in who they have for leaders.

The Pharisees were also opposed to the fleecing of the common people (stealing from the common people by the use of religion) through religion which they, the Pharisees, knew were a complete fabrication and fraud. They were in fact, forced to keep up the appearance of being a religion as well, because too many people at that time were not ready to digest too much of reality as one time and their enemies would have defeated them more easily.

Notes & References.

Julius Caesar was a relative by marriage of King Herod as his family was a) both descended from royal houses who had used the name “Cleopatra” (namely, the Seleucid & Antiochii, as well as the Ptolemies, who had all been intermarrying with each other and with other of their relatives like their Syrian and Pontian relatives and the various leaders with names such as Mithridates).

Their were certain ways in which royal names worked, and to be able to understand this in any great detail, those name and language rules must be known. One thing to note is that ALL of the Pisos, whether or not it was stated outright, or included whenever their names were mentioned is that they were all Calpurnii. So, in today’s wordage, we would say that it “goes without mentioning”.

But it should be known as with many other things that may well matter. So, when we hear of the “Frugi Pisos” and the name does not include the Calpurnius name, it is there whether it is stated or not. And, the same goes with the ‘Piso’ name when Frugi names are used. They deliberately used the literary device of omission to help disguise and further confuse readers and anyone who would try to figure out their family trees and relationship to each other.
